With MoGo and SMART!
If you’re looking to save money while you travel through Metro Detroit, then this is the blog for you. In this series, we’ll explore the various connections that FAST, powered by SMART, and MoGo’s service area provide.
First, some introductions: MoGo is Metro Detroit’s bikeshare system, operating 75 stations and 620 bikes across 6 cities, and SMART is Southeast Michigan’s regional bus system, providing convenient and reliable transportation throughout Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties.
In this installment of the MoGo x FAST series, we’re looking at the Michigan Avenue FAST route (261).
Some quick facts:
When it comes to MoGo and FAST Michigan connections, there’s no better place than Downtown and Corktown. With MoGo stations located within one block of every FAST Michigan stop in those areas, catching the bus is easy regardless of where you’re biking from.
And, although we’ve highlighted the beginning (Downtown Detroit) and end (Detroit Metro Airport) of the FAST Michigan line, the connections in between are just as important. Get to The Dingell Transit Center in Dearborn, as well as Dearborn Heights and Inkster along the way, with nearby attractions like Greenfield Village, the Henry Ford Museum, and Fairlane Mall throughout.
Beyond the convenient stops, traveling with MoGo and the FAST Michigan bus is good for your health, reduces your carbon emissions, and saves you money. Plus, if you ever need a ride back from the airport, or can’t get there to pick someone up, the FAST Michigan bus is there for you.
Still not convinced? Think about how easy it’d be to take a quick trip to Dearborn for lunch, or if you’re working in Dearborn, a quick trip to Corktown. No need to worry about traffic, gas, parking, or even taking a longer lunch break – you can check emails with in-bus WiFi!
